Blockchain, though simple a concept, is yet so complex and diverse in its use-cases. At its nascent stage, numerous countries have come to realize the immense potential of blockchain and are tapping into the unexplored areas of this disruptive technology. However, to face the reality, India is banning the use of cryptocurrencies. An industry report on the Indian blockchain sector has raised concerns around a draft proposal by the government to ban cryptocurrency and regulate digital currencies, echoing previous criticism by industry stakeholders and entrepreneurs.
