  • 10 Most Recommended Cybersecurity Startups - 2021

    Advent of technologies like AI, IoT, IIoT, ML, and others have made the world more interconnected, which has also led to increase in threats and more vulnerability to attack. The cyber threats rate in India was growing at a quite alarming rate over past 18 months. According to India's Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), the country witnessed around 600,000 cyber attacks in the first half of 2021. The attacks against Remote Desk protocol (RDP) in India increased when Indian workers began Work From Home during the pandemic time. In July 2020, the attacks reached a maximum of 4.5 million. The situation is becoming severe than ever by reporting of several high profile attacks. According to the reports of International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), India has still made only modest progress in the field of cyber security. Enterprises are putting their best efforts to protect their data and system. Today, with the cloud being the heart of digital innovation, all data and important information related to an organization, including personal data of employees such as account data, is store in the cloud. BSFI has the highest share, around 26 percent for the cyber security expenditure, which is closely followed by IT and ITeS sector by 18 percent. The government is spending significant amounts in cyber security including that of in defense sector. India Cyber security market stood at $2200.23 million in FY2021 and is forecast to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.05 percent by FY2027.
