| |June 20195VOL 2 · ISSUE 5 - 4 · JUNE - 2019Artificial Intelligence is way past the notion of being an entry level technology, rather a new-age technology. The technology has infused into every segment They are superhuman analytical engines, whose powers of inference and learning have already far outstripped us in chess, GO, and the crucial but arcane art of predicting how proteins will fold. These alien AI intelligences will inevitably be given more responsibility as humanity embeds their prowess and skill in every arena, from health to shopping, trading, conservation, global political strategy and more. Many fear that as the deep analytic engines increase their reach, our puny bio-limited human minds will totally fail to keep up, and our future will be wrested from our control. Instead of helping us to a better future, AIs may act like those dangerous emotionless Cybermen that plague the Doctor while seeking to annex humanity. But there's a realistic alternative to this kind of doom-laden prognostication. The alternative is a hybrid future in which humans continue to do what humans do best (creating, imagining, deciding which among our many goals and projects to prioritise in a world of limited resources), while AI slowly permeates our collective decision-making, calculating the most likely consequences of (for example) specific projected interventions in delicate ecosystems or complex socio-political-economic systems.Understanding so much more about probable consequences and the space of options, we can make more informed, more morally effective choices about what to do in a complex world. Understanding more, we can think up new and better questions, opening up brand new spaces for hybrid (human-AI) enquiry. These are among the many ways humans plus deep analytical engines can work together, becoming more together than either would be alone. We at CIOInsider have always laid the advantages and disadvantages of new technologies on the balance and helped you see clearly. In this edition too we're bring in the technology providers who have proved that AI and Humans have huge potential in working together. Presenting a list of 10 most recommended AI solution providers of 2019. I, for one, certainly believe in the human-AI partnership. These vendors too might help you believe the same.Do let us know what you think.
