| |JULY, 20254VOL 5 · ISSUE 1 -7· JULY, 2025According to Meticulous Research, the global digital transformation market, valued at $695.5 billion in 2023, is projected to surge to $3,144.9 billion by 2030, growing at a remarkable CAGR of 24.1 percent from 2024 to 2030. While this exponential growth unlocks enormous opportunities, on the other hand, it also heightens cybersecurity risks. Not only are cyberattacks becoming more sophisticated with AI integration, but the rise of hybrid work--spanning homes, offices, cafés, and co-working spaces--further complicates security frameworks. No wonder the global cost of cybercrime is anticipated to skyrocket from $8.4 trillion in 2022 to over $23 trillion by 2027.Relying solely on modern platforms for recoverable backups can be a risky assumption. While they offer advanced capabilities, they do not guarantee reliable recovery in the event of a breach. To safeguard against increasingly sophisticated threats, organizations must establish redundant backup strategies. These not only create additional barriers for attackers but also ensure access to clean, uncompromised backups if an incident occurs. To strengthen resilience, organizations must go beyond theory and actively rehearse their response and recovery protocols. A real cyberattack is no time for trial and error--when systems are under siege and pressure surges, prior preparation becomes indispensable. Establishing a dedicated forensic analysis environment is key. It empowers teams to investigate compromised data, trace the sequence of events, eliminate lingering threats, and verify system integrity before initiating recovery. This approach blends speed, automation, and deep forensic insight--enabling seamless collaboration between IT teams and incident responders. This special yearly issue sheds light on some of the companies setting benchmarks in the industry.
