Andhra Inks Seven Agreements at AI Summit on Education, Skilling
The government of Andhra Pradesh has entered into seven agreements during the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, with a focus primarily on initiatives related to higher education, advanced skills development, and improvements in the education sector.
The agreements were officially executed with the participation of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, demonstrating the state's commitment to fostering its AI capabilities through the education and development of its students.

Contracts were signed with IBM, UNICC, NIELIT, IIT Madras, BharatGen, and WISER. The southern state has entered into a Letter of Intent with IBM to educate a hundred thousand learners in Artificial Intelligence, The partnership will investigate opportunities to utilize IBM's worldwide digital educational platforms, empowering learners to acquire skills relevant to the industry and preparing them for the future job market, thereby enhancing the state's developing technology workforce.
In 2026, there will be a collaboration with the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC) to create a distinguished facility for Artificial Intelligence and Quantum computing within the Amaravati Quantum Valley.

UNICC, with a long history of 55 years, has been providing services to a vast array of more than 100 UN entities and international organizations. Through this extensive experience, UNICC offers expertise in implementing secure and autonomous artificial intelligence solutions based on international standards.
The aim of the Centre is to establish Amaravati as a hub of digital innovation, serving as an embassy with advanced AI technologies that adhere to high standards set by the United Nations.
In a similar manner, Andhra Pradesh has collaborated with the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) to inaugurate the inaugural NIELIT deemed university campus in South India, specifically focused on education in Quantum and Artificial Intelligence.
With the backing of funding support from the Central government and access to state-provided land, space, and quantum hardware, the campus is on track to establish itself as a leading national center for nurturing emerging technology talent.
Andhra Pradesh has entered into a partnership with Cabilo AI to enhance the AI and digital innovation capacities of over 50 higher education establishments in the region. The program encompasses students completing their undergraduate and graduate studies, faculty training, integration of artificial intelligence into curricula, practical applications, and innovation labs to improve job prospects.
The aim of the Centre is to establish Amaravati as a hub of digital innovation, serving as an embassy with advanced AI technologies that adhere to high standards set by the United Nations.
The state has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with WISER - the Washington Institute for STEM, Entrepreneurship, and Research - in order to create a Center of Excellence and Talent Hub as part of the Amaravati Quantum Valley initiative.
The program has successfully provided training to more than 62,000 students and has set a goal of reaching 350,000 students in 2026 and 600,000 students the following year, with the ultimate target of reaching a cumulative total of 3.5 million students.

Additionally, the state of Andhra Pradesh has collaborated with BharatGen, NxtGen, and IBM to establish a Statewide AI Tech Hub, which is constructed upon a five-layer Swadeshi AI Stack. The platform aims to incorporate 22 Indian languages, over 500 dedicated GPUs, and locally developed extensive language models to facilitate governance, welfare programs, agriculture, MSMEs, and educational initiatives.
The government has taken a proactive stance towards integrating artificial intelligence into the education system by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, in collaboration with Bodhan AI. This partnership aims to introduce an AI Tutor in Government, Aided, and Private schools within Andhra Pradesh.
Artificial intelligence holds significant importance for Andhra Pradesh, representing not just an economic tool but also a fundamental educational initiative that commences within classrooms, progresses through institutions of higher learning, and readies an entire cohort for the advancements of the quantum and AI age.
