India's cybersecurity landscape is becoming increasingly complex as the country's digital economy continues to expand. Although the rapid growth of digital payments, cloud adoption, artificial intelligence, and online public services has given rise to several new opportunities, but it has also widened the scope for cyber threats. According to the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), more than 2.94 million cybersecurity incidents were reported in 2025, up from 2.04 million in 2024, highlighting the growing scale of attacks. Sectors such as banking, healthcare, manufacturing, and government are increasingly being targeting through phishing campaigns, ransomware, identity theft, and data breaches.
