First ever built robots were just like a proper computer, but now it has evolved to acquire the shape of humans. Robots came into existence for the same reason of reducing human efforts as machines do. But today, a lot has changed further with regard to efficiency, accuracy and critical thinking. Healthcare sector maybe one of the field that will always get adapted to changes at the very last moment. A new theory or practice need to be done with utmost care and alert. Technological advancements in healthcare industry, but changed a lot with respect to the present efforts. In a quest to find a healthcare solution in an advanced format, technology has helped to mark a significant impact.

Robots started helping medical personnel relieve from routine tasks, which takes their time away from pressing responsibilities, and making medical procedures safer and lessening the burden. Today, in the more advanced level, they can perform tiny surgeries and transport dangerous substances.

There are a number of tasks that need to be met in a hospital. That range from nursing assistance, medical check-ups to hours long surgeries. To make such tasks more efficient and improve the precision rate, robotic measures are enabled. It would be helpful for a nurse if she can lessen the burden of carrying hospital supplies and medicines, which would consume a lot of time. In that place, a Robotic Medical Assistance can help to relieve nurses of some of their chores. They could perform routine task, by checking patient’s medical data, updating records with treatment courses, and sending e-mail reminders to patients who need follow-up medical check.

Furthermore, robots are also used for doing surgeries using surgical robots. These are machines with arms programmed for doing specific tasks in order to perform extreme delicate interventions on vital organs or areas of the human body. The surgeon will be manipulating the movements of the robot through a computerised interface. One of the best surgical robots used by doctors at present is called Da Vinci. Thus healthcare sector has adapted the changes brought by technology in order to deliver higher end functions.

Even to this day, many hospitals are not much convinced with the benefit of robotic assistance for medicine. Adapting robotics in healthcare improves the quality of the service. Robotic process automation provides analysis and data after looking at a patients’ medical condition and their progression. This technology analyses data from a number of medical knowledge databases so as to bring an insight into the health status on a bigger picture. Robots in medicine face challenges and opportunities which come from their benefit to perform tasks that humans are not capable of.

Since efficiency is a major factor in a healthcare setup, in the coming years healthcare service providers work to leverage this. Researchers see the future of robotics in healthcare as becoming caregivers and helpers at hospitals and homes. The challenge they see in the time ahead, is the precision of operation methods that robots could deliver in order to make things efficient enough. As robotics are becoming more and more advanced in many fields, the need and demand for installing robots in healthcare sector will become a necessity in the near future.
