Rajasthan Government Unveils AI Policy for Ethical, Practical Use
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma inaugurated the Rajasthan AI-Machine Learning (AI-ML) Policy 2026 along with the National AI Literacy Program.
The policies were introduced during the opening of the Rajasthan Regional AI Impact Conference-2026 at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC).
Sharma also introduced the iStart Learning Management System, Rajasthan AVGC-XR Portal, and the Rajasthan AI Portal, designed to enhance AI-driven education, startups, research, skill development, and digital governance in the region.
"The successful application of technology is fundamental to future expansion." "Rajasthan is quickly progressing to become a top hub for innovation, investment, and effective governance in artificial intelligence," Sharma stated.

He stated that the Rajasthan AI-ML Policy 2026 has been launched in accordance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India initiative to establish the state as an IT center.
He stated that the policy emphasizes enhancing e-governance through the responsible, ethical, and secure application of AI and ML.
A statement indicates that the policy highlights data protection and cybersecurity, incorporating measures to minimize bias in AI systems, ensure transparency, and protect privacy.
It stated that specific procedures have been established for reporting and addressing cyber crimes related to AI.
The policy will establish an Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence in the state.

In its initial phase, called AI for All, a four-hour course will provide a straightforward and practical explanation of AI, covering its responsible application in creativity and everyday life
Every department will pinpoint AI applications relevant to its field and designate an AI focal point, while the state will create contemporary digital frameworks, AI cloud solutions, and secure data storage facilities.
Sharma stated that the National AI Literacy Program seeks to make AI available not only to coders and specialists but also to children and those without expertise.
