Bengaluru, India – 09 March, 2020: Tech Mahindra’s makers’ lab which is a research and development arm centre declares the commencement of women led Ideathon to make technology innovation. This was started on International Women’s Day and this program aims to solve real world challenges through technology especially in defence space. This is conducted for four weeks and ends by 7th April 2020.

In this Ideation program, Tech Mahindra widely included women associated, women spouses of other associates and children.

The Ideathon program was handled by Josh, the cultural team of Tech Mahindra. Ideathon comprises two rounds and the top 20 ideas will be given the award and will also get an opportunity to meet and discuss with trainers as well as Army officers of College of Military Engineering (CME), Pune.

The leading mechanical and strategic training institute of Indian Army focuses on encouraging inventive technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for the Indian Army.

Nikhil Malhotra, global head of Makers Lab, Tech Mahindra, said, “The mission of Tech Mahindra’s R&D arm, Makers Lab, is to promote technology innovation and provide a common platform where academia and industry can come together to create disruptive solutions to solve real world problems. This women-led Ideathon is a first among a series of Ideathons and hackathons which are planned across the year in Tech Mahindra, to encourage women professionals especially to innovate and leverage technology towards betterment of society and world at large.”

Kanchan Bhonde, product strategy head, Makers Lab and Head - Winnovate (Women who innovate) program, Tech Mahindra, said, “There are some very challenging problem statements we have developed for the Ideathon, which will generate curiosity amongst the teams. We are excited to hear from women and children who will get a chance to showcase their creativity and technical expertise.”

A Tech Mahindra program, Winnovate is concentrated on an image to facilitate women to come out and to present their talent and bring quality in technology as well as administration. The program is intended at motivating more female with actual life examples, monthly seminars and mentorship programs.
