To enable digital payments for customers, fintech platform BharatPe announced the rollout of its UPI TPAP (third-party application provider).

It has teamed up with Unity Bank to launch TPAP.

Earlier, BharatPe offered digital payment services between merchants.

The fintech firm also launched the buy-now-pay-later app postpe to BharatPe again.

This indicates that the previous version, which is postpe, of BharatPe, including BharatPe for Business are the two apps that are now available for public use.

Customers can not only create their own UPI ID on BharatPe app using the @bpunity extension, but can also make both individual and merchant transactions.

Earlier this month, BharatPe, in collaboration with lenders like OTO Capital and Volt Money, introduced secured credit solutions for its merchants, including loans against mutual funds (LAMF) and two-wheeler loans.

With a repayment period of 12 to 48 months, OTO Capital offers two-wheeler loans up to Rs 2.5 lakh to merchants on the fintech platform.

It has teamed up with Unity Bank to launch TPAP.

According to the firm, BharatPe will be able to provide LAMF of up to Rs 1 crore due to its collaboration with Volt Money.

"With our UPI TPAP, we aim to enable millions across Bharat to make seamless and secure UPI transactions, for their individual as well as business needs”, said BharatPe CEO Nalin Negi said.

“The foray into the consumer payments category will help us to further propel adoption of digital payments and drive financial inclusion across the country”, Nalin.

Android users can presently download BharatPe's UPI app. In the upcoming months, the app will also be released on Apple's App Store, he said.

"Rebranding our consumer app as BharatPe aligns with our goal of providing a unified brand and platform for both consumers and merchants. While we are not the first player in the country to launch TPAP, we have reimagined the app experience with a renewed emphasis on security, ensuring that trust remains at the core of our offerings," Kohinoor Biswas, Business Head - Consumer at BharatPe, said.
