Influencers can Sell Subscriptions and More with Twitter's 'Super Follows'

Influencers can now sell subscriptions for access to special content with Twitter’s newly introduced ‘Super Follows’ and it all happens for a charge ranging from $3-$10 per month. Influencers such as makeup artists and sports experts will be able to provide subscribers with 'behind the scenes' content, early access, and other incentives.
As Esther Crawford, Product Manager, Twitter says, this feature makes time for that extra bit of conversation on Twitter to meaningfully engage with the most interested followers as influencers fill their bank account.
This feature is for anyone like activists, journalists, musicians, writers, gamers, astrology enthusiasts, beauty experts, comedians, and more who bring their unique perspectives and personalities to Twitter to drive the public conversation
The move comes as Twitter tries to establish itself as a go-to online destination for clickable celebrities while also generating revenue in methods that don't clog up the platform with adverts or promotions.
According to Crawford, the functionality will soon be added to devices running Google's Android software as well as the browser-accessible twitter.com website.
In the next few weeks, users of Twitter on Apple mobile devices will be able to follow participating creators globally.
According to Twitter will not take more than three percent of subscriptions as a transaction charge until a creator earns $ 50,000 on the site, at which point Twitter's stake might walk up to 20 percent. The company is situated in San Francisco. The developers selling the subscriptions pay the App Store fees, which can amount to up to 30 percent of the transaction value.
Twitter has implemented a 'Tip Jar' function that allows popular users to receive tips and earn money from online events conducted in "Ticketed Spaces."
The company, which has over 200 million active users, is seeking new revenue streams that do not include more advertising.
According to Crawford, the functionality will soon be added to devices running Google's Android software as well as the browser-accessible twitter.com website.
