KKR India Financial Services appointed Kapil Singhal as Managing Director

October 18, 2019, Bengaluru: KKR India Financial Services, Indian Non-banking Financial Company (NBFC) of US private equity firm KKR & Co, has appointed Kapil Singhal, former Goldman Sachs Senior credit executive as the Managing Director.

Kapil Singhal, an IIT Delhi and FMS Delhi alumnus with total 25 years’ experience was managing Edelweiss Special Opportunities Fund for four years prior to this new assignment with the non-banking financial company (NBFC). He was the head of India credit trading for almost four years at Goldman Sachs since mid of 2011. At Goldman

Sachs, he was heading India credit trading for nearly four years. He has also worked with financial services major like ICICI Bank, GE Capital and Deutsche Bank since 1995.

Kapil has worked in variety of roles including trading, relationship, coverage, risk and structuring over a 25 year career span with last 3 assignments being - 12 years of coverage and product role in private structured credit financing; strong analytical and communication skills to deal with complex financial structures and issues. His area of experience & expertise include growth capital financing as an alternate to private equity and mezzanine financing and strong sector focus. He structured finance including special situations, mezzanine, and converts & restructured credit. Further, Kapil has portfolio in complex deal execution, risk management, hedge funds, financial risk, credit underwriting, credit appraisal, project finance, corporate relationships and corporate banking under deep understanding of Indian corporates.
