State Street Backs Groww AMC with $ 65 Million Investment

US-based asset management firm State Street Investment Management has invested Rs 580 crore, or approximately $65 million, in Groww Asset Management Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Groww, as per Groww’s exchange filing.

Groww AMC is the investment management entity for Groww Mutual Fund, supervising multiple funds under Groww Mutual Fund.

The filing indicates that the suggested deal consists of roughly Rs 381 crore from secondary share acquisitions, and about Rs 199 crore will be introduced as new capital, possibly diluting Groww AMC’s equity by as much as 23 percent, with voting rights capped at 4.9 percent. The transaction must be finalized within six months.

The purchase is intended to fulfill working capital needs and facilitate additional growth prospects, according to reports.

In December 2025, Groww reinforced its position in the stock broking sector by acquiring 39,500 active demat accounts in that month, raising its overall client base to approximately 1.21 crore (12.13 million) and achieving a 27.06 percent market share.

Groww today revealed its Q3 FY26 financial results. The firm announced a 25 percent yearly rise in revenue to Rs 1,216 crore for the third quarter, whereas its profit dropped 28 percent in the same timeframe to Rs 547 crore.

By the conclusion of today's trading session, Groww's stock finished at Rs 163.7, resulting in a total market capitalization of Rs 1,01,061.8 crore ($11.35 billion) for the company.
