Sun Pharmaceuticals, a major pharmaceutical firm, reported that it had taken fast action to limit the threat posed by the IT security incident and to control and remediate its effects. It also said that extra steps had been taken to guarantee the integrity of its system infrastructure and data.
The firm added that a ransomware group had taken ownership of the event.
The drug giant reported an information security incident at the business on March 2 and said it is looking into the situation. The company from Mumbai said that the harmed IT assets have been isolated.

On March 24, the firm announced that it would buy 60 percent of Vivaldis Health & Foods from its current owners for 143.30 crore, with the remaining 40 percent to be purchased in the future under specific terms and conditions.
