Biggest Tech Collaborations of 2024
Top tech company collaborations continued to take place this year, despite high interest rates and persisting economic uncertainties. New technology trends have once again been a significant part of these collaborations, showcasing the will to make use of the technology rather than just make money out of it. Here are some of the biggest tech partnerships that signed the papers this year.
Microsoft and Adobe
Microsoft and Adobe have come together to merge Microsoft Copilot with Adobe Experience Cloud. The main benefactors of the deal are marketers, who will be able to manage daily workflows more effectively, while breaking down application and data silos. New integrated capabilities are promised to help marketers work with tools like Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Word to create creative briefs, create content, manage content approvals, deliver experiences, and more.
Like any other field, marketing also comes with an intricate and specialized set of responsibilities that call for particular tools for the job. This means that working in silos and across applications presents challenges for marketers, which can cause misalignment, leaving a bad taste over speed and efficiency. Adobe and Microsoft ensure to aid marketers with capabilities to solve these challenges through:
Strategic insights in the flow of work:
The Copilot for Microsoft 365 experience, enhanced with campaign data from Adobe Experience Cloud apps like Adobe Customer Journey Analytics and Adobe Workfront and integrated with Dynamics 365, is expected to help marketers obtain timely insights and updates in Outlook, Teams, and Word. Additionally, marketers can also check for aspects like the progress of a project, the effectiveness of a campaign, pending approvals, next steps, the target audience, key performance indicators and similar others.
Create campaign briefs, presentations, website updates and emails with relevant context:
With Copilot for Microsoft 365, marketers can use marketing data from Dynamics 365 and Adobe to generate reports and messages of any type, including briefs and presentations for executive reviews, without having to depend upon additional technical tools or information sources.
Keep projects moving with in-context notifications and summaries:
Since marketers often juggle with piling emails, chats, and applications to get information on a project, including work item changes, deadlines, and approvals, etc., these integrated features will generate notifications based on important marketing data. This ensures that marketers can stay on top of any changes and necessary actions.
Nvidia and Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Nvidia joined forces to aid businesses in embracing generative AI faster by bringing the NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE, a portfolio of jointly created AI solutions and go-to-market integrations.
Another development is the HPE AI Essentials software, which offers a variety of pre-curated AI and data foundation technologies that are ready to use, hence enhancing NVIDIA AI Enterprise and NVIDIA NIM.
Also, the NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE is said to be born out of the companies' significant time and resource commitments to one another and the growth of a cooperation spanning several decades.
Other developments from the collaboration include HPE and NVIDIA method to create the Private Cloud AI portfolio, which offers a distinct cloud-based experience to boost innovation and ROI while controlling corporate risk associated with AI.

Qualcomm and Deci
To encourage Generative AI models for the Qualcomm® Cloud AI 100, Qualcomm Technologies' performance- and cost-optimized AI inference solution for Generative AI and large language models (LLMs), Qualcomm and Deci signed the papers earlier this year. Under the deal, the two companies gave word on democratizing the power of generative AI for developers worldwide by making AI accessible for a broader range of AI-powered applications. Further, Deci is planning to introduce the DeciCoder-6B and DeciDiffusion 2.0, two ground-breaking models out of this collaboration.
IBM Acquires HashiCorp
This year, IBM said to the world that it is going to pay $6.4 billion to acquire San Francisco-based HashiCorp. It's anticipated that the purchase would close by the end of this year. The acquisition is part of IBM’s plan to grow its portfolio in AI, multicloud, and hybrid clouds. The end goal of IBM is to develop a comprehensive cloud platform using HashiCorp's resources. The reason is that HashiCorp provides lifecycle management and security as part of its HashiCorp Cloud Platform, making it a big deal in important applications. Also, the HashiCorp Cloud Platform facilitates integration with major cloud service providers, including AWS and Google.
As for HashiCorp, it will have access to a larger customer base, which could allow it to work closely with IBM on multicloud automation installations.
Cisco Concludes Splunk Deal
Cisco has finally completed the acquisition of Splunk. The company spent around $ 28 billion to acquire Splunk during this current buzz around generative AI. Therefore, the acquisition lays the groundwork for providing unmatched visibility and insights across the digital footprint of an organization. To provide a real-time, unified view of the complete digital landscape, Cisco will combine the full power of the network with industry-leading security and observability solutions. This will enable teams to proactively defend critical infrastructure, avert outages, and improve the network experience.
