Poised to be the next global manufacturing hub, the Indian manufacturing sector has been witnessing a flurry of tech advancements happening in recent times to successfully maintain a competitive edge in the market and enhance the production process. However, AI and robotics have emerged as the hot favorites for the industry owing to their ability to optimize and streamline the entire production process, which will enhance operational efficiency, cut down costs and improve quality as well. As per Statista’s recent estimates, the Indian AI robotics market is expected to amount to $448.65 billion in 2025 and further grow to $1.31 billion by 2030, showcasing an astounding 23.83 percent CAGR during the forecast period.
Amidst such encouraging market conditions, one company that stands a class apart through its deep technology prowess is Eternal Robotics. Founded in 2019 by four BITS Pilani alumni with a vision to revolutionize industrial operation by leveraging the power of AI and robotics, Eternal Robotics is strongly positioned as one of the most sought-after providers for diverse robotics and AI requirements across construction, automotive, pharma, consumer goods, F&B and many other industries. In an exclusive interview with CIO Insider, Srikar Reddy (Founder & CEO) and Ajith Nair (Business Development Head) share more insights about Eternal Robotics, its core practice areas, and many other interesting facets. Let’s read on.
What are some of the core ethos that Eternal Robotics stands for?
At Eternal Robotics, we’re strongly committed to zero defect in manufacturing, zero productivity loss due to rework, and zero downtime due to accidents. By staying focused on these three non-negotiable facets, we’re at the forefront of shaping the future of intelligent automation by driving digital transformation goals of not just one industry, but the entire nation. Our mission is to spearhead digital transformation not just across one industry or in India, but create value reference globally about how it can be executed quickly, effectively and comprehensively using the latest technologies.
Throw some light on the key products/ solutions that you offer, with on your
flagship offering.
As a nextgen technology company, we are actively engaged in providing cutting-edge solutions across two niche verticals, namely Robotics (MYRO, CHARIOT and ROBOMARK) and AI (Hypervise). While MYRO is the world’s first interior finishing robot that enables the construction industry to successfully overcome their diverse operational challenges, CHARIOT is a one-stop warehouse automation platform that enables manufacturers to streamline their workflows and optimize movement & storage of raw materials, while simultaneously enhancing production and optimizing finished goods handling and outbound logistics.
Considered as our crown jewel, Hypervise is our state-of-the-art AI-enabled computer vision platform that primarily facilitates three core mission-critical functions for manufacturers, including Safety Surveillance (ensure safety & compliance with advanced AI monitoring), Action Recognition (optimize productivity and process compliance with real-time insights), and Inspection (guarantee quality control with advanced visual detection).
Equipped with a wide range of hardware components such as cameras, sensors and robots, the Hypervise platform not only facilitates PPE Detection, Crowd Gathering, Virtual Geofencing and other key functions across industrial sites, but also provides actionable insights to cut down on assembly-related defects in each production cycle through time & motion analysis, action sequencing and ensuring complete adherence to all established SOPs. Most importantly, unlike the traditional practice of sampling inspection among high volume production industries, Hypervise remains operational 24x7 on the production line and facilitates highly advanced inspection of every single unit being manufactured, be it in terms of quality, object counting, dimension verification, color analysis, and other aspects.
Elaborate further on the technical capabilities of Hypervise.
Our technical capabilities span three broad areas, including AI engineering, software & product engineering, and hardware & industrial automation. Along with using the latest GPUs and CPUs, we work with open source as well as our own proprietary AI and deep learning models to predict outcomes of the manufacturing lines, increasing the reliability and consistency that a human potentially cannot achieve. Further, by connecting our AI stack with software/ product engineering stack, we provide real-time data analytics through interactive dashboards and integrations across all existing systems of our large enterprise customers. Additionally, we also utilize a variety of sensors, robots, manipulators, AMRs and conveyors to not just predict but even reduce rejections, improve QA/QC process and alert as well as advise on-ground personnel in real-time about the necessary actions that need to be
taken. This way, Hypervise acts as a holistic solution for all manufacturing environments.
Tell us about the team at Eternal Robotics and the value they bring to the table.
With a strong people-centric culture across the entire organization, people are at the heart of everything that we do. Our organization runs three core pillars, namely customer acquisition & engagement, solution delivery & development, and engineering excellence. Coming from diverse backgrounds, our accomplished team of sales & marketing personnel not only practice client-centricity across all their process, but are also familiar with the language customers speak, thus facilitating enhanced customer engagement.
In terms of solution delivery & development, we have a young team of talented individuals who’re experts in ML, computer vision, data annotation and software engineering. Working closely with the sales team, they breakdown the technical jargon into simple business language to make the customers have a clear understanding of the impact we’ll be able to drive. Lastly, our engineering excellence is driven by distinguished minds with deep function expertise and prior experience of successfully handling problems of similar nature, thus bringing a holistic innovation and continuous learning spirit within the organization.
