IT major Wipro, which was recognized at the SAP innovation award 2021, takes pride in being named as 'Industry Leader' by Zinnov. The IT giant was named so for its Engineering and Research & Development (ER&D) and the Internet of Things (IoT) services for the 11th consecutive year.

To top it off, it is a first for Wipro to have reigned its leadership across 24 industries which was identified by Zinnov Zones Assessment on ER&D and IoT services 2020.

The report particularly identifies Wipro’s EngineeringNXT approach, which helps clients accelerate their time-to-market at various phases of the product, platform, and technology lifecycle.

It further established that the IT giant brings a diverse partner ecosystem by combining mature product development techniques, IP-driven solutions, and delivery excellence.

This is also the first time Wipro has achieved a leadership position in the Aerospace vertical, in which it collaborates with four of the world's leading aerospace companies. This achievement is a result of Wipro's Tarang Facilities, which combines state-of-the-art Aerospace R&D labs with cutting-edge technologies and techniques.

Wipro Limited's Harmeet Chauhan, Senior Vice President, Engineering and R&D Services explained how the IT giant holds a strong experience in engineering innovation and research and development, assisting clients which have been helping to bring new or better products and services to market.

Chauhan further expressed that Wipro's engineering expertise in 24 industry sectors has been recognized by Zinnov, demonstrating the strength of its expertise and capacity to assist clients with engineering, R&D, and IoT transformation.

Likewise, Sidhant Rastogi, Managing Partner, Zinnov also expressed that “Wipro is a world leader in ER&D and has a long history of providing embedded and software engineering services. Its ability to carve out end-to-end deals in the engineering services area, particularly in the Automotive vertical, has helped it enhance its year-over-year (YoY) placement in the Zinnov Zones for ER&D Services evaluation”.

Furthermore, through strategic acquisitions, Zinnov has enhanced its market stance in the Semiconductors field by adding Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) and systems design capabilities,” stated Rastogi.

“Wipro has also been rated a leader for overall IoT services as well as for specific use cases pertaining to contactless retail, digital thread, public infrastructure, and telemedicine in the Zinnov Zones for IoT Services 2020 assessment. Its focus on accelerated innovation and agility to enable digital health development for clients, along with its capabilities around the HOLMESTM ecosystem, positions it favorably for Telemedicine services. Wipro's IoT led transformation of field services, predictive maintenance, asset management, supply chain, and product design poise it as a leader for digital thread enablement as well,” added Rastogi.

The IT giant is also known to have recently been awarded the SAP Innovation Award 2021 regarding its Partner Paragon category for its Fashion Rental solution built on SAP Business Technology Platform.

In addition, the IT giant had also unveiled its Q4 FY21 results under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) were the strongest in a decade, with profit and sales up 27 percent and 3.4 percent, respectively, attributable to outstanding deal wins.
