Probably a decade ago, real estate industry would have only started thinking of considering digital integration to its operations. Today, the realm has evolved to constitute a smaller part of real estate technology landscape, often referred as property technology. When the rise of the entrepreneurial group fueled by venture capitalist firms took over the technology movement, the ripple effect also had its impact in the global real estate tech domain. While probing the statistics of 2008, a meager of USD 20 million was invested in the property technology arena as a whole. Ten years later in 2018, that figure escalated to an approximate of USD 4 billion, which constitutes 5 percent of total venture capitalist and 20 percent of fintech funding. Since 2012, real estate tech companies have raised over USD 43 billion in funding worldwide. Having said, the next phase of developments in the real estate technology will be more expansive in an all-inclusive form that replaces the current systems to go in line with the growing demand for affordability and flexibility.
