Taiwanese electronics leader Acer increased its local production by collaborating with Plumage Solutions to manufacture IT hardware in a new plant in Puducherry. This new facility will produce computer monitors, All-in-One (AIO) desktops, servers, workstations, and power adapters.

Acer's localization efforts focus on boosting local production, lessening reliance on imports, and meeting the growing demand from both urban and developing markets. The Puducherry facility will improve supply chain effectiveness; reduce delivery times at competitive pricing.

The Puducherry facility boasts an annual production capability of 300,000 laptop units and is anticipated to generate new employment opportunities.

The Plumage Group is set to invest 50 crore in the coming 3 to 4 years to enhance Acer's manufacturing capacity and capabilities in India.
