Imarticus Learning Acquires MyCaptain

Mumbai-based upskilling firm Imarticus Learning has acquired Bengaluru-based learning platform MyCaptain in a Rs 50-crore cash-and-stock transaction.
MyCaptain assists college students, recent graduates, and young professionals in developing skills and discovering prospects in new, non-technical sectors. It has established a presence on over 1,500 campuses, with 60 percent of its users hailing from Tier II and III cities and 80 percent following creative or entrepreneurial paths.
The purchase of the education-oriented platform, which asserts that it has aided more than 5 lakh learners, corresponds with Imarticus Learning’s objective to impact 5 million learners in the upcoming three years and grow into Tier II and III cities.
This acquisition propels Imarticus into the college skill development arena via MyCaptain's 60+ live, cohort-driven program centered on new career sectors.
Imarticus intends to broaden its offerings to an offline format through more than 20 classroom centers across over 16 cities by incorporating MyCaptain’s employ ability boot camps, which concentrate on fields like digital marketing, design, and content.
“Our collaboration with MyCaptain marks a pivotal step in strengthening Imarticus’ vision to be the lifelong career partner for learners across their journey,” Nikhil Barshikar, Founder and CEO of Imarticus Learning says.
