Andhra Pradesh to Emerge as Hub for IT and GCC
Reports indicate that Andhra Pradesh is establishing itself as the hub for IT and global capability centers (GCC) in the nation and as India’s gateway to the East.
While discussing the Investment Promotion Roadshow taking place here, C M Saikanth Varma, CEO of the AP Economic Development Board (EDB), stated that Visakhapatnam is poised to emerge as the next IT, Global Capacity Centre (GCC), and AI hub of the nation due to its impressive social infrastructure and other benefits.
"With the guidance of the chief minister (N Chandrababu Naidu) and the direction of IT Minister Nara Lokesh, I believe the state aims to establish itself as the IT and GCC capital of the nation. We aim to ride the AI wave that is approaching in a significant manner," states C M Saikanth Varma.
Google's announcement of its $15 billion AI data city in Vizag serves as an illustration of this.

The government aims to engage with IT and GCC stakeholders through roadshows, highlighting the state’s opportunities, key advantages, and policies to attract investors.
