Apple to Launch ChatGPT-Style App

Following the launch of Apple Intelligence on its devices, the tech company from Cupertino aims to enhance its AI features by creating a search experience similar to ChatGPT. The company has posted numerous job vacancies for various new roles in its Answers, Knowledge, and Information team.

The updated job vacancies feature roles such as Staff Machine Learning Engineer in various locations throughout the US and China. This group is anticipated to enhance the search and reaction functions of Siri, Spotlight, Safari, and various iOS-related applications.

Apple analyst Mark Gurman reports that the tech giant is developing a new search experience similar to ChatGPT, which is presently in the initial development phases. This upcoming AI search function is anticipated to be an independent application, akin to OpenAI's ChatGPT.

Mark mentions, “A separate app is presently being explored, in conjunction with new back-end systems intended to enhance search features in upcoming iterations of Siri, Spotlight, and Safari.”

This new AI search feature is currently referred to as the 'Answer engine,' which is said to examine the web based on user inquiries or general knowledge questions.
