The company also proclaimed to have created almost 900,000 jobs across the country, in addition to its App Design and Development Accelerator in Bengaluru has supported thousands of local developers. Complying with the Make-in-India campaign, in 2017, the company had started locally manufacturing iPhones in India based out of Wistron’s Bengaluru facility with iPhone SE variant. It was later expanded to Apple's Taiwanese contract manufacturer Foxconn’s units and towards the end of last year, the company had also started manufacturing iPhone XR locally in India.
