Avride Expands its Vehicle Testing in Dallas

Avride is expanding its vehicle testing in Dallas, as the autonomous technology startup gets ready to introduce robotaxis on Uber.
Companies focused on autonomous technology have been forming alliances with ride-hailing and delivery startups to bring robotic food deliveries to market.
Avride revealed a wider collaboration with Uber in October of the previous year, and its delivery robots debuted on the Uber Eats platform in Austin in November, later extending to Dallas and Jersey City.
By year's end, Avride's self-driving vehicles will be integrated into the Uber platform as robotaxis, combining the startup's offerings on a single platform.
"Shortly, Uber passengers will experience a new method for navigating the city, representing an additional advancement in integrating autonomous transportation into daily life," stated Sarfraz Maredia, Uber's leader in autonomous mobility and delivery.
