AWS to Launch Data Centers in Switzerland

Amazon Web Services (AWS) announces its plan to open an infrastructure cluster in the Switzerland by the second half of 2022. The new region located in Zurich will cater to the Europe and comprise three Availability Zones and join existing regions in France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, and the UK. Currently, AWS has 77 Availability Zones across 24 geographic regions globally, excluding the announced plans for 12 more Availability Zones and four more AWS Regions in Switzerland, Indonesia, Japan, and Spain.
