Bengaluru witnesses latest AI & ML Trends

The apparent need for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning professionals in the industry shows the demand for emerging technologies in the business ecosystem. Today, the amount of data generated is unprecedented and this highlights the true demand for these professionals. DataHack Summit 2019 hosted by Analytics Vidhya, which commenced in Bengaluru, highlighted the latest trends, state-of-the-art developments, and machine learning capabilities that decentralize AI for everyone. The summit unfolded in the heart of the city has been a strategic platform for industries and technologies worldwide to understand and leverage the latest innovations and the impact they have on the business environment as well as daily lives of people. Over 1000 AI, Data Science and ML professionals from across the globe participated in the summit hosted by Analytics Vidhya.

The first day of the conference witnessed more than 20 sessions piloted by various AI experts from the industry like Eric Weber of ListReports, Mathangi Sri of PhonePe, Ujjyaini Mitra from Zee5, and many other, followed by eight live hack sessions lead by Sudalai Rajkumar from H2O.ai, Axel de Romblay of Dailymotion, and Krupal Modi with Haptik. The panel discussions headed by representatives from various software and technology based companies exchanged views on the failure of AI powered projects in the enterprise platforms despite the increased interest in adoption of artificial intelligence programs. Commenting at the event, Kunal Jain, Founder & CEO, Analytics Vidhya, said that more than 1000 passionate data science professionals from diverse industries and domains came together to build a vibrant data science ecosystem in India amazes him. “Think of this group as a think-tank that powers hundreds of banks, every ecommerce player and travel portal in the country building algorithms to improve customer experience, and deliver business value”, expressed Kunal. Adding to it, he said that it is delightful to receive amazing response from the community and expressed his gratitude towards the entire industry partners present at the summit.

In a brief note, Eric Weber, Senior Director, ListReports, said that it was incredible to witness the pace of change and innovation in the field of data science in India and appreciated the summit for laying the foundational part of the change.

Tarry Singh, Chairman & CEO, Deepkapha.ai and Curae.ai said, "Technology is disrupting the business ecosystem and lives of people at a breakneck speed, while heralding the age of Industrial revolution 4.0. Consumers and industry are slowly adapting to the convenience and leisure the technology provides”. He concluded by complimenting India’s edge over other countries for its vibrant tech related ecosystem and the flexible model that allows different verticals to exist together.
