Bosch Global Software Technologies Signs MoU with Mindgrove Technologies

Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW) and Chennai-based Mindgrove Technologies, a fabless semiconductor startup, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly develop and deploy high-performance system-on-chip (SoC) solutions for applications across automotive, consumer electronics, industrial automation, and IoT infrastructure.
Mindgrove, developed at IIT Madras and supported by Peak XV Partners, has recently introduced the domestically designed commercial microcontroller chip, Secure-IoT. Through its collaboration with Bosch, the startup will create SoCs for both local and global markets, while the company will provide extensive research and development (R&D) knowledge, embedded software engineering, and verification assistance. The chips will be constructed using the RISC-V instruction set architecture, which is an open standard.

"This partnership combines Bosch’s established engineering expertise with Mindgrove’s chip design skills to create affordable, secure solutions for practical applications,” says Yashwanth Singh M, Firmware and Silicon Architect at BGSW.
In collaboration, Mindgrove will supply Bosch with chips and boards for on-site deployment and testing, complemented by engineering and logistics support. The company stated that the information produced from these deployments will be utilized for enhancements. Bosch will provide managed access to elements of its proprietary ToolBundle platform and collaborate with Mindgrove to jointly create new applications utilizing its SoCs and establish a market entry strategy.
BGSW after successful assessments will adopt Mindgrove’s SoCs for internal use and recommend them to partners across automotive and commercial domains
