BotGauge AI, an agentic AI startup, secured $2 million (approximately Rs.18.1 crore) in a funding round spearheaded by Surface Ventures. IA Seed Ventures and Saka Ventures participated in the funding round as well.

The startup, providing businesses with an AI-driven software quality-assurance (QA) platform for comprehensive software testing, intends to use the new funding to enhance its R&D efforts in India, advance its QA agents, and increase its footprint in the US and other international markets.

It aims to grow its engineering team in the next 12-24 months.

Established in 2024 by Pramin Pradeep, Naresh Kumar Rajendran, Vivek Nair, and Sreepad Krishnan Mavila, BotGauge AI provides a comprehensive quality assurance solution for software teams. Rather than offering testing tools, the AI agent assumes responsibility for the results of testing.

The startup asserts that its AI agents determine what requires testing, formulate and uphold test cases, and execute tests throughout the software lifecycle. While human QA specialists monitor the procedure.
