Bounce Launches e-Scooter Infinity E1

Two wheeler rental app bounce launches first electric scooter called Infinity E1, focusing on the on the ‘battery-as-a-service’ model. The new EV from instant-scooter-rental services provider comes in five colours: sporty red, and sparkle black, pearl white, desat silver and comed grey. It also comes with a warranty of three years up to 50000 km.

Besides the battery being waterproof (IP 67 with 48V 39 AH) and taking four to five hours to charge, the features of this version include digital speedometer, 12-litre boot, geofencing, cruise control, tow alert, and twin disc break alert among others. It delivers torque of 83 Nm, top speed of 65 mph, 0 to 40 kmph in 8 second. There is also a facility to lock the scooter remotely as well as having the full visibility of vehicle performance.

Commenting on the occasion, Vivekananda Hallekere, Co-Founder & CEO, Bounce, says, “I strongly believe in the potential of electric vehicles in India it is with this vision that we launched our in-house EV mobility solutions in June 2019.

Customers can swap the battery once it discharges from a nearby swapping station. The start-up is building a network of swapping stations, for which it is tapping thousands of gas stations, in several Indian cities, says Bounce.

He adds, “Our advanced ‘Made in India’ scooter will come equipped with enhanced state- the-art equipment and intelligent features. We are glad to announce that we are glad to announce that we are the first and only ones to provide both options – to swap batteries from our network as well as charge at home for the infinity E1.”

Pre-booking starts from today and deliveries will be from March 2022. Customers can purchase the scooter with battery and charger at Rs.68,999 and with the state subsidy, price can come down to Rs.59,999.
