Indian edtech platform Byju's has brought Mr.Mukut Deepak into the role of Head of Business to to manage its class 4 to 10 school segment and Mr.Mrinal Mohit, Byju's Chief Operating Officer, would be his direct report.

Mr.Deepak will forecast, construct, and propose plans for the growth of his vertical, as well as establish processes and operations to help the organization achieve its objectives, in collaboration with the product, marketing, and sales teams.

Mr.Deepak's responsibilities will include expanding and overseeing the flagship business for the class 4 to 10 segment.

Mr.Deepak was the Chief Business Development Officer at Tata Sky Limited and a Director for Tata Sky's Digital initiative before joining Byju's.

He brings his skills in envisioning and establishing new-age digital firms, entrepreneurship, sales, strategy, service excellence, and more to the table as a business leader with over two decades of experience in several sectors. He has been an entrepreneur twice, initially as the creator of Distribution 2.0, a distribution venture focused on selling novel financial services goods, and later as a Director and Head of Advisory for Thinklink Supply Chain Services, a logistics start-up.

Mr.Deepak worked as a management consultant for nearly a decade at Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Company, advising CEOs and board members on a variety of issues. He began his career in sales and marketing at Unilever (India), which is known as the "school for CEOs. Throughout his professional career, he has received numerous awards and distinctions in areas such as consumer products and services, IT, media, telecom, and private equity. Mr.Deepak has a bachelor's degree in chemistry from St. Stephen's College in Delhi and a master's degree in business administration from India Institute of Management in Calcutta.
