Celonis, a Process Mining player, has announced the appointment of former Deutsche India MD and CEO, and former SAP Labs India MD, Dilipkumar Khandelwal, as its new Chief Customer Officer and Chairman of the India Advisory Board.

Dilipkumar says, “When I was coming out of Deutsche Bank, I decided to focus on private companies instead and help them scale. Today, there are many AI tools, but the challenge is their adoption across the enterprise client segment. Celonis provides the context required for mass adoption in the enterprise. What I’ll be doing is not a traditional Chief Customer Officer role, it’s more about helping companies unlock the full value of the technologies they adopt. My focus will be on ensuring customers realize tangible outcomes and benefits throughout the different stages of their journey.”

Reflecting on his industry experience, he noted that while his time at SAP was focused on creating and building products, his role at Deutsche Bank gave him the perspective, of being on the other side, using and leveraging those products in a real-world enterprise setting.

Carsten Thoma, President and Board Director at Celonis says, "In this economic climate, delivering quantifiable value is the only thing that matters. Our customers are looking for a true partner to help them make AI work for their business. Dilip has built and scaled global teams that serve the world’s most demanding clients. He has lived in the world of our customers, understands their challenges intimately, and knows how to connect technology to the top, bottom, and green lines. He is the ideal leader to guarantee our customers’ success."

Concurrently, India’s domestic market is also a prominent focus, with local companies presenting a significant opportunity,” adds Dilipkumar.
