CrowdStrike, a pioneer in cloud-delivered endpoint and workload protection, and Google Cloud launched a series of product integrations to provide defense-in-depth coverage, detailed visibility, and workload protection at scale across hybrid cloud environments to joint customers.

These integrations would allow for more seamless telemetry and data sharing between the two security systems, allowing customers to retain high security standards throughout their entire cloud or hybrid environment.

CrowdStrike's CrowdStrike Falcon platform will be closely integrated with Google Cloud's suite of security products, including Chronicle, VirusTotal Enterprise, and Google Cloud Security Command Center (SCC), allowing security teams to gain greater visibility of threats through cloud and hybrid deployments and react far more quickly.

“Security issues continue to disrupt enterprises across all industries, prompting many to modernize their security plans and operations with the cloud. At the same time, attackers continue to become more sophisticated and evolve attack methods. Our expanded partnership with CrowdStrike helps our joint customers make the most of their security investments and gain multi-level defenses that can only be delivered by the power of the cloud”, said Sunil Potti, Vice President and General Manager, Google Cloud Security.

“The past year forced organizations to push their digital transformation forward at record pace to support remote workforces. However, digital transformation cannot be done without security transformation, in order to protect organizations’ cloud presence. That is why we are proud to expand our partnership with Google Cloud and deliver deeper integrations with their security capabilities. These integrations are powered by our best-in-class, AI-powered telemetry to provide contextual and actionable intelligence that accelerates incident response to better protect cloud workloads from sophisticated threat activity", said Amol Kulkarni, Chief Product Officer of CrowdStrike.

The following are some of the recent integrations between CrowdStrike's Falcon platform and Google Cloud:

•The CrowdStrike Falcon platform will integrate with Google Cloud's security analytics engine, Chronicle, allowing security teams to more efficiently analyze endpoint and workload telemetry in order to find and fix threats quickly. Teams will also be able to link petabytes of data from Chronicle to Falcon platform datasets, allowing them to fully examine long-term attacks and prevent new ones.

•VirusTotal, a crowdsourced malware collection platform, will integrate with CrowdStrike Falcon and be accessible via the CrowdStrike Store, enabling cybersecurity teams to easily scan for and locate related files or URLs, as well as discover previously unknown threats. Customers will be able to more efficiently monitor adversaries and create identification rules by integrating VirusTotal with the Falcon platform, which will help them remove blind spots in their cloud and hybrid infrastructure.

•The CrowdStrike Falcon platform will send updates and events to Google Cloud's SCC, which will help provide a single holistic view of protection and enforcement in a customer's cloud ecosystem. This centralised management console makes it much easier for security teams to maintain visibility and control over their environment, as well as prioritise and investigate warnings more quickly.

BeyondCorp Enterprise and Google Workspace will now integrate with Falcon Zero Trust Assessment (ZTA), allowing joint customers to build and execute granular device access policies based on CrowdStrike's specific risk signals, bolstering zero trust initiatives. In addition, for automated and flexible sensor deployment, CrowdStrike will provide integrations with Google Cloud's Security Agent Deployment, which will take advantage of the Operating System Configuration Management.
