CureBay Raises Rs.100 Crore in Pre-Series C to Expand Rural Network
CureBay, a rural healthcare technology firm, has secured approximately Rs 100 crore in a pre-Series C funding round to enhance its healthcare delivery network throughout India and increase investments in artificial intelligence (AI) and its proprietary technology.
The funding round includes Rs 69 crore in equity spearheaded by IvyCap Ventures and more than Rs 30 crore in debt from Trifecta Capital, Alteria Capital, and VentureSoul Partners. The new funding will aid the Bhubaneswar-based company's growth into additional markets, such as Andhra Pradesh, and enhance its technology-driven clinic network for screening, health risk evaluation, and clinical decision support.
Established in 2021, CureBay has created India's initial integrated rural healthcare operating system, merging physical healthcare facilities with digital technology and a community-oriented network to tackle deficiencies in access to medical services in underserved regions.
The firm presently manages over 250 tech-enabled clinics in seven states, backed by a network of more than 1,800 Swasthya Mitras, over 530 trained clinical personnel, and more than 230 physician partners. Its network comprises over 210 affiliated hospitals and laboratories.
“Rural Bharat requires a comprehensive system that functions seamlessly, from the Swasthya Mitra at the home to the specialist in the urban area, rather than just another app. This funding enables us to expand our operating system to additional states and allows our AI to handle the demanding tasks, ensuring that every family receives appropriate care at the right moment, near their home,” stated Priyadarshi Mohapatra, founder and CEO of CureBay.
