Delhi Seeks AI Collaboration with Startups, Tech Companies
The Delhi government aims to involve technology firms, startups, and research organizations working in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to develop solutions for governance, health, education, air quality monitoring, and mobility, among other sectors, according to reports.
The government’s Information Technology Department has invited tech firms, startups, and academic and research institutions to present AI-driven solutions to enhance governance, particularly across health, urban planning, public service delivery, and mobility.
The initiative seeks to leverage AI tools in areas such as digital health management, predictive illness monitoring, hospital resource optimization, and citizen-centric service platforms to improve efficiency and responsiveness in government systems. A senior government official said the objective is to identify and deploy innovative AI solutions that can be tested at the departmental level before wider implementation.

The initiative is expected to lead to pilot projects and potential long-term partnerships between the government and selected participants

Interested technology companies, startups, and research institutions will be required to conduct live demonstrations of their AI tools before a government evaluation committee. They will also present details on the solution architecture, underlying technologies, deployment status, and expected benefits for public sector use.
The initiative is expected to lead to pilot projects and potential long-term partnerships between the government and selected participants. Through these collaborations, the Delhi government aims to accelerate the adoption of scalable AI solutions and strengthen data-driven decision-making across departments, ultimately improving service delivery outcomes for citizens.
