
Emversity Raises $ 5 Million Pre-Series A Round

According to reports, beyond Odds Technologies, the parent company of the skill-focused training and higher education platform Emversity, has completed a $5 million pre-Series A funding round. The funding was spearheaded by Z47 and Lightspeed, with involvement from Alteria Capital and Innoven Capital.
In April of last year, the firm secured $11 million in a seed round from investors including Matrix Partners India and Lightspeed, among others.
Established by ex-Unacademy COO Vivek Sinha, Emversity is a training and recruitment platform centered on employability, targeting skill development for grey-collar positions in essential nation-building fields such as healthcare, travel and hospitality, education, and construction.
Vivek mentioned during a conversation with YourStory that the fund will facilitate the expansion of its presence from 36 to more than 75 campuses nationwide. Additionally, the company intends to launch two more verticals to tackle skill gaps in other crucial areas.
It also established its first presence in healthcare-oriented vocational training, while forming collaborations with educational institutions, industry stakeholders, and learners.
