For India, AI Stands for 'All Inclusive': PM Modi

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the Global Fintech Fest 2025 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Extending a warm welcome to all attendees in Mumbai, Shri Modi described Mumbai as the City of Energy, the City of Enterprise, and the City of Endless Possibilities.

He specially welcomed his friend, Prime Minister H.E. Keir Starmer, and expressed gratitude for his presence at the Global Fintech Festival, acknowledging the time he took to attend the event.

Reflecting on the Global Fintech Festival's inception five years ago, during a worldwide pandemic, the Prime Minister noted that it has since transformed into an international hub for financial innovation and collaboration.

He remarked that this year the United Kingdom is taking part as a partner nation and highlighted that the collaboration between these two significant democracies will enhance the global financial framework even more.

PM Modi commented on the lively ambiance, enthusiasm, and vitality at the location, describing it as exceptional. He remarked that this demonstrates worldwide confidence in India's economy and development.

The Prime Minister praised Shri Kris Gopalakrishnan, along with all organizers and participants, for the successful execution of the event.

"India is the origin of democracy, and democracy in India extends beyond elections and policy creation, firmly rooted as a vital pillar of governance," stated PM Modi, emphasizing technology as a key illustration of this democratic essence.

He mentioned that although the technological divide has been a topic of discussion globally—and India was once impacted—it has successfully democratized technology over the last ten years. Modi declared, ‘India today stands as one of the world’s most technologically inclusive societies.

Emphasizing that India has made digital technology democratic and available to all citizens and regions, the Prime Minister pointed out that this has now become the nation’s model of effective governance.

He described how, in this model, the government creates digital infrastructure for the public good, while the private sector develops innovative products using that foundation.
