
Foxconn to Invest Rs 15,000 Crore in Tamil Nadu

Taiwanese contract manufacturing titan Foxconn will invest Rs. 15,000 crore in Tamil Nadu, generating 14,000 high-value jobs, the state’s industries minister TRB Rajaa stated.
The minister stated that this represents the largest commitment to engineering employment in the state and will greatly enhance Tamil Nadu’s electronics and advanced manufacturing industry.
“Biggest engineering job opportunities in Tamil Nadu. Dedication towards Tamil Nadu! Foxconn pledges an investment of Rs 15,000 crore and creates 14,000 high-value jobs! Engineers, prepare yourselves!," Rajaa stated in a message on social media site X.
Rajaa mentioned that Foxconn intends to introduce its upcoming stage of value-added manufacturing, R&D integration, and I-enabled advanced technology operations in Tamil Nadu.

He stated that Foxconn's representative in India, Robert Wu, engaged with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to reinforce the company's trust in the state via major investment initiatives.
"Another significant enhancement for Tamil Nadu’s electronics and advanced manufacturing industry as @CMOTamilNadu Thiru. @MKStalin met with Foxconn’s India Representative Robert Wu to reinforce their strong confidence in Tamil Nadu with considerable investment pledges," he mentioned in his update.

To facilitate these advancements, Tamil Nadu’s investment promotion agency, Guidance, will establish India’s inaugural Foxconn Desk.
Foxconn is presently operating in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Telangana, and these recent plans indicate a significant growth of its presence in India
The announcement follows Robert Wu's meeting with Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru the previous Sunday.

In that meeting, they reviewed strategies to enhance Foxconn's presence in Karnataka and investigated new prospects in manufacturing and technological partnerships.
