Indian tech giant HCL Technologies divulges its intent to acquire DWS Limited (ASX: DWS), a leading Australian IT, business and management consulting group. Thanks to the rapid evolution of the IT industry and digital realm, the pandemic has witnessed significant activities from the tech major, including the recent launch of its Development Center in Sri Lanka. The company looks forward to fueling its growth even further with the acquisition of DWS, which is home to over 700 employees, has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Canberra, and provides large clients across a spectrum of verticals with business and technology innovations.

In a statement, Michael Horton, Executive Vice President & Country Manager, Australia & New Zealand, HCL Technologies, said, “We are excited for this expansion of HCL Technologies in Australia and New Zealand and are confident that our combined strengths will further accelerate the digital transformation journeys of our clients and innovations for their end customers.”

Michael adds, “HCL has invested in the region for over 20 years and is committed to enabling digitilisation and growing the local ecosystem. DWS has forged a sterling reputation, powered by highly talented consultants who enable organizations to be at the cutting edge of technology. Founded in 1991 by the company’s current CEO, Danny Wallis, DWS was listed on the ASX in June 2006. Headquartered in Melbourne, the company has offices in locations Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra.

Danny commented on the occasion, “We are delighted the DWS team is joining HCL.
