Hyderabad To Have Five IT Parks For Dispersion Growth

Strategy for augmenting Information Technology sector’s growth in Hyderabad, Telangana, the city got approval for changing five industrial parks into IT hubs in East Hyderabad.

These five parks will have IT firms in an area of 25 lakh square feet and create job opportunities for almost 30,000 employees.

It is a major expansion of the IT sector away from HITEC City and Gachibowli – Western Hyderabad.

K.T. Rama Rao, IT and Industry Minister yesterday gave the conversion letters to the five companies at the Hyderabad Growth In Dispersion (GRID)

At IDA-Uppal, Hyderabad Distilleries and Wineries Limited’s IT park will have more than 12.40 acres.

Minacto Chem will be having another park in the same land with 2.66 acres coverage. Swamy Soaps and Oils Pvt. Ltd park is also set to have 2 acres in IDA-Uppal. Gokuldas Exports Ltd, and Mini Textile Park are having IT park in Nacharam in 8.93 acres and Bakelite Hylam Ltd facility will have over 8 acres in IDA, Nacharam.

Official sources expressed that it will offer rise in employment opportunities for around 25000 employees working in the NSL IT park and Genpact in the Uppal area.

IT Minister also confirmed that government will come up with the GRID policy for the dispersed growth of the IT sector in Hyderabad. He added that Telangana’s IT exports will double the national average.

K.T. Rama Rao also said that Hyderabad is the city with no geographical hurdles and has enormous scope for development. He stated that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, Telangana government will built infrastructure keeping in mind the accommodation and requirements of lakhs of people entering the city.

The minister told that eastern side of the city is already having companies like Infosys, and Genpact including large, medium and small scaled enterprises. He concluded by saying that the initiative will give opportunities to more enterprises to grow and invest.
