InterGlobe-CAE Joint Venture to Launch Pilot Training Center in Mumbai

CAE Simulation Training Private Limited (CSTPL), a partnership between InterGlobe Enterprises and CAE, has announced the launch of a new advanced pilot training facility in Mumbai, India. The upcoming 44,000 square-foot facility will accommodate up to six full-flight simulators (FFS) and is set to commence operations in the first quarter of 2026 with two Airbus A320 FFS.

Michel Azar-Hmouda, CAE’s Division President for Commercial Aviation states, “The new Mumbai facility boosts CSTPL’s capacity to address the swiftly increasing need for professional pilots in India – estimating up to 20,000 in the next decade. The expansion of the new six-bay facility in Mumbai showcases our dedication to providing top-notch training nearer to India’s aviation centers. and improving training quality and operational effectiveness for our airline collaborators.”

Aditya Pande, CEO of InterGlobe Enterprises, states, “We are thrilled to grow CSTPL in Mumbai, alongside our commercial aviation training facilities in Greater Noida, Gurugram, and Bengaluru." InterGlobe Enterprises and CAE are dedicated to creating an aviation ecosystem that will address the increasing present and future need for pilot training in India.

Alongside the new centre in Mumbai, CSTPL presently runs three commercial aviation training facilities in Greater Noida, Gurugram, and Bengaluru, capable of managing up to 23 FFS

CAE's 2025 Aviation Talent Forecast anticipates a need for 98,000 new pilots in the Asia Pacific area by 2034. CSTPL’s Mumbai centre will be pivotal in aiding airlines and the wider aviation industry with top-notch, DGCA approved training in one of the world's fastest-growing aviation markets.

Alongside the new centre in Mumbai, CSTPL presently runs three commercial aviation training facilities in Greater Noida, Gurugram, and Bengaluru, capable of managing up to 23 FFS. The new CSTPL facility in Mumbai will provide extensive pilot training courses for Airbus, ATR, and Boeing aircraft, covering type rating, recurrent training, and proficiency evaluations.
