Investing INR 4000 Crore, Yotta Infrastructure Signs MoU With Tamil Nadu Govt For Setting Up Data Center Park in Chennai

Hiranandani Group subsidiary Yotta Infrastructure which is a Managed Data Center service provider creating hyper-scale data center parks in India signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu Govt for making a Data Center Park in Chennai. Alongside Yotta, the Hiranandani Group and companies is set to invest INR 3000-4000 crores in the aforesaid project in the next 8-10 years. This project will help in generating an average of 2000-2500 direct and indirect jobs in Tamil Nadu. Granting the project, the Tamil Nadu Govt said it will provide facilitation and support including infrastructural support, regulatory approvals, permissions, and registration facilitation subject to applicable news.

The Data Center Park is believed to be set on a 13-acre campus at Hiranandani Parks on the Singaperumal-Oragadam highway. The park will be able to host a total of 4 Data Center buildings with a capacity of 20000 racks, backup generator sets, and featuring a total power load of 150-240 MW (approx). Similar to the Navi Mumbai facility, the Data Center Park will have carrier-neutral with the presence of major telcos and own fiber network. The park will have a house of 220/110 KV electrical substation and a CNG power plant.

With a built-up area of 230,000 square feet, the first data center building is expected to be ready by the last quarter of 2021. It will have 25 MW IT power and a capacity for 5000 racks. Yotta will construct the data center with the highest Uptime Institute certified Tier IV design and construction standards for ensuring the utmost reliability.
