As businesses adopt AI more widely, risk professionals must navigate the challenge of harmonizing AI’s groundbreaking capabilities with careful risk management, considering emerging vulnerabilities, threats, and risks.

ISACA has launched the Advanced in AI Risk (AAIR) certification to provide IT risk professionals with the specific skills and expertise needed to handle these intricate risks.

The AAIR credential confirms candidates’ capacity to identify AI-related vulnerabilities, evaluate opportunities and consequences, and manage the complete risk lifecycle—emphasizing three main practice areas: 1) AI risk governance and framework integration, 2) AI lifecycle risk management, and 3) AI risk program management.

Individuals engaged in AAIR are equipped to suggest appropriate measures for AI risk, work together across departments to guarantee thorough communication and monitoring, and cultivate a profound comprehension of various AI technologies and their related issues.

Erik Prusch, ISACA CEO says, “AI is moving faster than many organizations are prepared for, and IT risk professionals are on the front lines. The launch of AAIR gives risk professionals the practical skills they need now to understand, assess and manage AI risk.”

Extra resources can be accessed by individuals aiming for AAIR certification, such as the AAIR Online Review Course, the AAIR Questions, Answers & Explanations Database, and the AAIR Review Manual (offered in both digital and printed formats).
