According to the reports, with decrease in covid, IT companies are bringing back employees to work, however, continuing with a hybrid model.

Infosys is implementing a ‘phased return to office’ and encouraging employees to attend office in person for a day or two per week. IT major Tech Mahindra has also asked employees to start coming to the office two days in a week starting April. While HCL Technologies ensues with its hybrid work mode for the time being, Wipro has already said that senior employees will be coming back to work for two days a week starting March 3rd.

“Infosys expects a hybrid model in which approximately 40 - 50 percent of employees are likely to work from the office on any given day,” says Richard Lobo, Executive Vice President, Head HR, Infosys.

Reports suggest that, Infosys continues to have 96 percent of its workforce operating remotely, and are looking at a gradual increase for over the next three to four months depending on the course of the pandemic. However, the company is of the view that the future will be hybrid with a mix of employees coming in daily, some working fully remote and the rest using a mix of both modes.

“Infosys expects a hybrid model in which approximately 40 - 50 percent of employees are likely to work from the office on any given day,” says Richard Lobo, Executive Vice President, Head HR, Infosys.
