Ola, a ride-hailing app, has introduced e-bike services in Hyderabad and Delhi. The cost of the e-bike services has also been disclosed by the firm.

Ola e-bikes cost Rs.25 for five kilometers, Rs.50 for ten, and ₹75 for fifteen.

Ola intends to launch its e-bike service in Bangalore in addition to Delhi. 200 charging stations have been installed by Ola in Bangalore to maintain its fleet of e-bikes.

By the end of the year, Ola hopes to have 10,000 electric two-wheelers deployed throughout three cities. The company also wants to gradually expand its service nationwide.

“Following the massive success of our Bangalore e-Bike taxi pilot, we have proven its sustainable value proposition for all ecosystem participants - the consumer (lower price), the driver (higher earnings), and Ola (new category and revenues), and now look at mass deployments across Bangalore, Delhi, and Hyderabad and build a larger market for e-Bike taxis in India," Hemant Bakshi, CEO, Ola Mobility said.

"In line with the company's vision and growth strategy of serving 1 billion Indians and nationwide penetration with electrification, Ola plans to deploy 10,000 e-vehicles over the next 2 months across these (Delhi, Hyderabad, and Bangalore) cities," the company said.

Ola started a trial program for an e-bike service in Bangalore in September 2023.

Ola asserts that it now has the biggest EV 2W fleet in the nation with the introduction of these cars.

According to Bakshi, the largest key to enabling affordability in the transportation sector is electrification.

Ola intends to launch its e-bike service in Bangalore in addition to Delhi.

Ola states that it has completed over 1.75 million rides to date.

In Bangalore, Ola has also installed 200 charging stations to maintain its fleet of e-bikes.

The business unveiled a growth plan that prioritized e-commerce, financial services, logistics, and ride-hailing.
