OORJAA, a technology-led logistics platform, has raised ₹9.7 crore in a Series A round led by Equentis Angel Fund, with participation from Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). This is the first close of the larger round, for which the company is in advanced discussion with a few VC funds. The funds will be used toward technology and product development, scaling Datashastra, its proprietary AI/SaaS logistics stack, along with its control-tower and automation capabilities. The capital will also support expansion of its mid-mile and last-mile network across new cities and categories, take Datashastra to international markets beginning with the GCC, and build talent across technology, operations and enterprise sales.

The company runs a full‑stack yet asset‑light model, combining a nationwide network of hubs, fleet, and manpower with a proprietary technology layer that flexes seamlessly with demand. OORJAA’s outcome‑linked, cost‑per‑unit pricing model sets it apart from conventional 3PLs, where clients pay only for the volume delivered.

Manish Goel, Founder & Managing Director, Equentis Wealth Advisory Services, says, “This is our second-round investment in OORJAA, after our maiden investment in November 2024. OORJAA is fast progressing into a formidable platform in the intra-city logistics market, serving pedigreed enterprise clients. With SaaS offering, they are drawing on the best practices from the international market as solutions to the Indian enterprise clients.”

At the core is Datashastra, OORJAA’s in‑house logistics stack, powering Optimus for AI‑led route optimisation, PiE KART for last‑mile efficiency, HiSaaB for reconciliation, Smart Trip, and a 24×7 Control Tower for real‑time exception management. The same stack that drives OORJAA’s own network is also licensed as a standalone SaaS product, creating a capital‑light, high‑margin revenue stream.

Mitesh Shah, Co-founder, IPV, says, “OORJAA is redefining logistics by linking costs directly to outcomes, a model that brings transparency and efficiency to a sector long burdened by asset‑heavy structures. Their proprietary stack, Datashastra, has already demonstrated measurable impact in reducing costs and improving reliability, while opening a capital‑light SaaS revenue stream. We believe OORJAA is well positioned to scale across new markets and categories, and this investment reflects our confidence in their ability to become a category‑defining player in logistics technology.”

OORJAA was founded in 2019 by Sandeep Patil (CEO), Prashant Mohite (COO), Yogesh Parab (CTO) and Umesh Singh (CIO), a leadership team with deep, hands-on experience across logistics, supply chain, technology and finance, built around running large distributed networks.

Commenting on the investment, Sandeep Patil, CEO, OORJAA, said, “We have always believed logistics should be measured in outcomes, not assets. Charging our clients on a cost-per-unit basis meant our network and our technology had to earn their margin every single day, and that discipline is what has let us reach 200+ cities and 3 million products a day without adding cost in the same proportion. Equentis and Inflection Point Ventures backed that thinking early, and their investor communities have opened conversations that would otherwise have taken us years to reach. With this round, we want to take the same unit-level discipline into new markets, and turn Datashastra, the intelligence we built to run our own network, into a product that others can run on.”

Today, OORJAA moves over 3 million products and 50,000 last‑mile orders daily across 200+ cities, maintaining 95% SLA compliance for enterprise clients including Zepto, Blinkit, Amazon, and Swiggy. The company is also deploying EVs across dense urban clusters to further lower unit costs and emissions.

Globally, logistics is a USD 10 trillion market, with the logistics SaaS - Datashastra focus segment growing at a high single- to double-digit CAGR. Yet despite the global growth, India remains structurally under-served, with logistics cost as a share of GDP materially higher than developed markets, precisely the gap technology-led, outcome-priced operators like OORJAA are built to close.
