People+ai Welcomes AI New Fintech Innovations, AI-Powered Community Efforts

Organized by the non-profit people+ai, Adbhut India welcomed the launch of people+ai by fintech business Setu, Microsoft Research, the Rockefeller Foundation, EkStep Foundation, and Fynd showcased their AI-powered community efforts.

Indian AI companies brought in their large language models, including AI-powered products to the event.

The innovations showcased how AI can be used to solve real-world problems in a number of ways.

For the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) industry, fintech company invented a large language model (LLM) called Sesame. The company’s Co-Founder denoted that it is a ‘ChatGPT Moment’ in the financial services industry, having been developed in partnership with the local AI research company Sarvam AI.

Co-Founder of Sarvam AI, Pratyush Kumar showcased a platform that enables companies to create voice-activated AI systems in Indian languages.

Another company called Fynd, unveiled a diffusion-based AI model, BharatDiffusion v2, to create visuals that capture the vibrant culture of India. The company’s machine learning lead said that the system is trained on an extensive database of Indian images to generate realistic, high-quality images that highlight the variety of the nation.

Viewers also had the chance to see Von Neumann AI latest product, JOHNAIC, which is claimed to be a personal AI server. According to the company’s Founder Sasank Chilamkurthy, the product is a ‘cloud in a box’ technology will reduce AI expenses by 85 percent. Additionally, it has built-in AI and SaaS technologies to support SMEs and startups.

A pilot poll was carried out by the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission's DRiefcase personal health records app to gather qualitative input from patients at the M Kashiram Hospital in Kanpur. The ABDM Scan & Share module, which attempts to shorten hospital patient wait times, was the subject of the survey.

An AI speech agent with a Haryanvi dialect was introduced by the entertainment platform STAGE, which caters to the Rajasthani and Haryanvi cultures, on their over-the-top platform. This AI bot establishes emotional connections with users in Haryanvi in addition to providing technical support.
