Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Andhra Pradesh on Saturday to inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over Rs.17,900 crore across sectors including aviation, semiconductors, renewable energy, power transmission, road infrastructure, and youth development.

The visit will begin in Bhogapuram, Vizianagaram district, where he will inaugurate the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport and address a public gathering. Developed under the Public-Private Partnership model at a cost of over ₹5,640 crore, the greenfield airport has an annual passenger handling capacity of six million and is expected to boost regional connectivity, tourism, trade, and employment.

The terminal integrates advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Building Information Modelling, along with biometric processing and automated baggage systems. Designed with sustainability in mind, it features a 5MW solar plant, rainwater harvesting, EV charging infrastructure, and energy-efficient systems aligned with global green standards.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for Andhra Pradesh’s first semiconductor facility in Visakhapatnam, developed by ASIP Technologies with an investment of over ₹460 crore. The project is expected to produce around 96 million chips annually and generate high-skilled employment.

Additionally, key power transmission projects worth over ₹9,900 crore will be launched to strengthen renewable energy integration and improve grid efficiency. National Highway projects worth over Rs.1,880 crore will also be undertaken to reduce congestion, enhance road safety, and improve connectivity.

Later, he will visit Mysuru to inaugurate the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre at Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, promoting education, leadership, and youth development.

The centre will feature modern facilities, including exhibition spaces, classrooms, a library, meditation halls, and an amphitheatre.

It aims to benefit thousands of students and young people through workshops, lectures, and capacity-building programmes inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s ideals and vision for nation-building and personality development.
