Practo Names Cijo George as Vice President of Artificial Intelligence
Healthtech platform Practo names Cijo George as Vice President of Artificial Intelligence, as the firm strengthens its emphasis on integrating AI capabilities throughout its services.
George will manage the organization’s AI strategy and implementation, collaborating with various teams to enhance the application of artificial intelligence in care navigation, tools for providers, and overall platform intelligence.
In his updated position, he will work alongside product, engineering, and clinical teams to embed AI more thoroughly into how patients find and obtain healthcare services, as well as how doctors provide treatment with enhanced consistency and accuracy. He will directly report to Shashank ND, the co-founder and CEO of Practo.

Shashank ND stated that the company's extensive experience in compiling healthcare data from patients, providers, and treatment results has established a foundation for more sophisticated AI applications. He mentioned that artificial intelligence can aid in revealing the potential of this data to enhance patient outcomes and provide doctors with practical insights. He characterized George’s experience in creating production-level AI systems as consistent with Practo’s long-term goals.

George possesses a master’s degree in High Performance Computing from the Indian Institute of Science.
