Salesforce Hires Arun Kumar Parameswaran as Managing Director of Sales and Distribution

Salesforce Inc, a global leader in CRM, seats Arun Kumar Parameswaran as Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Sales and Distribution, India, effective from May 2021 onwards. Based in Bangalore, Parameshwaran will take charge of the overall Sales and Distribution strategy for India and will report to Arundhati Bhattacharya, CEO and Chairperson, Salesforce, India.

Parameswaran steps in the role possessing 28 years of diverse and vast experience including working with enterprises across commercial and public sectors and in helping small and medium business to transform digitally.

“India continues to be one of the fastest growing regions for Salesforces and I am excited to welcome Arun on board to lead our sales team and support our growing customer base in India”, comments Bhattacharya.

Prior to joining Salesforce, Parameswaran spent his career at VMware, where he actively operated as Vice President for the enterprise business, leading the strategic pursuit across the JAPAC region and before that he worked in various leadership roles at Red Hat, Mastech/iGate and Wipro Infotech.

Earlier this month, Salesforce had made another major appointment of bringing Sanket Atal into the role of senior vice president and managing director, Sites, India, who is also placed in Bangalore and is in charge of steering the next generation of growth in India.

Over the years, Salesforce has invested significantly, by opening up more career opportunities, expanding its infrastructure and partner ecosystem to support its growing customer base. Moreover, India stands as the second highest Salesforce workforce outside of the U.S, since it consists of more than 4000 employees placed in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.
