Solstice Data Signs Rs 52,600 Crore MoU for Investment in Kerala
Dubai-based Solstice Data has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to initiate a significant investment project with a budget of Rs 52,600 crore at the KINFRA Industrial Park located in Mattannur, Kannur district.
According to an official statement on Sunday, the historic agreement includes the allocation of 100 acres of land in the park to the company for the development of its facilities.
The MoU was officially exchanged in Thiruvananthapuram between Raj Babu Thulaseedharan, Country Head (India) of Solstice Data, and Santhosh Koshy Thomas, Managing Director of KINFRA, according to the report.
The event occurred with Industries Minister P Rajeev and Director of Industries P Vishnuraj in attendance on Saturday.
Solstice Data is a worldwide frontrunner in the design, development, and operation of cutting-edge AI-powered High-Performance Computing (HPC) data centers.
In addition to its Dubai headquarters, the company oversees more than sixty data center initiatives in multiple countries, such as the United States and Canada.
Minister Rajeev emphasized that this new data center, created in partnership with local collaborators, will open up significant opportunities in Kerala's digital realm.
The company plans to complete its entire intended investment within a period of five to seven years, it stated.

The KINFRA Industrial Park in Mattannur covers an area of 175 acres, of which 123 acres are now ready for industrial use after infrastructure upgrades.
The park's current 36,000-square-foot Standard Design Factory is completely designated for industrial use, and land has been allocated to twelve additional companies.

This contract with Solstice Data encompasses the last 100 acres of accessible land, representing an important milestone for industrial development in the area.
